Zonos Checkout automatically identifies international shoppers using Zonos Hello and redirects them to a localized checkout experience in their preferred language and currency. All costs—shipping, duties, taxes, and carrier fees—are calculated upfront with no surprises at delivery. Every order is protected against fraud. Orders and tracking numbers sync automatically between Zonos Dashboard and your ecommerce platform, while Zonos handles all international payment collection with daily payouts delivered within 2 days of captured payment.
Zonos generates precise landed cost quotes using product information from your ecommerce platform or Zonos Catalog. Product weight, dimensions, HS codes, and country of origin all contribute to accurate calculations—the more detailed your product information, the more accurate your quotes will be.
Note: If product information exists in both your ecommerce platform and Zonos Catalog, Catalog data takes precedence in all calculations.
Before you begin
Sign up for a Zonos account and complete your account setup, including customizing your branding settings. In Dashboard, connect a bank account for payouts, add your allowed domains for security, customize your branding, and set up email notifications. For shipping, connect your carriers to provide live rate quotes, define shipping zones by region, and set fallback values for country of origin and HS codes.

Testing your integration
After integration, verify that international shoppers redirect properly to Zonos Checkout, cart details display correctly, shipping options match your configuration, and duties, taxes, and fees calculate accurately. Complete test orders to confirm payment processing and order sync work smoothly. Most platforms include a test mode toggle, or you can add ?zonosTestMode=1 to your URL. Add ?zonosDebug=true for enhanced logging during testing.
Important reminders
Since Zonos collects all international payments, process refunds and cancellations through Zonos Dashboard. Print shipping labels for international orders in Dashboard unless you've been certified to print externally—this ensures Zonos can pay duties and taxes on your behalf. When cart subtotals fall under the ship-to country's de minimis threshold, Zonos automatically accounts for this in calculations and communicates it to customers during checkout.
